Moraine rock, fully known as moraine gravel rock, is one of the world's rare stone types. Its color is grayish-brown to dark brown, with a heavy yet brittle texture, and it contains sand or other small fossilized organisms. According to evidence, moraine rock formed approximately 600 to 700 million years ago. At that time, the Earth experienced a global "snowball Earth" event during an ice age, followed by a "hothouse" event. This extreme shift from cold to hot conditions gave rise to the rare and unique moraine rock. With its ancient formation and limited reserves, about 85% of its deposits are concentrated in Anhua, earning it the name "Anhua Strange Stone."

Moraine rock is rich in trace elements like zinc and selenium. Using it to brew tea enhances the tea's smoothness and reduces its bitterness, while adding a refreshing sweetness. It combines both practical value and artistic appeal, making it highly prized.
